Owens of Warrnambool is a mature, multi-disciplined company with a long history in the southwest of Victoria. The company was formed 130 years ago to service the farming community of the area. The company specialised in windmill sales blacksmithing wagon repairs, pump repairs and general engineering services.
Over the years the company has had a number of owners and at one time was listed on the stock exchange. During the 1950s the company was owned by the four Owens brothers and hence the name. In the middle 1980s the company was acquired by Mr. Alan Lane. He passed away in the mid 1990s and the company was left to the Alan Lane Foundation a local charity and therefore the profits of Owens of Warrnambool are distributed through the Foundation to worthy causes in the City of Warrnambool.
Today the company specialises in selling windmills, pump repairs, general engineering, irrigation installation, retail and industrial supplies and we are BOC gas agents for the distribution of their gas for industrial and medical use throughout Warrnambool.
